Have you or your children been victims of harassment or violence at the hands of your partner or ex-partner?

We are here to help you. We offer quality confidential legal advice and support.

Our team of family lawyers will work closely with you to help get legal protection in the form of an injunction order.

This will help to protect you and your children if you are currently suffering or have suffered from abuse or harassment at the hands of a partner or previous partner.

At Bison we understand this is often a highly sensitive and complex issue so we will provide you with clear confidential legal advice and help ensure legal protection for you and your family via an Injunction.

An Injunction is a court order that can offer you protection from a partner or former partner by placing restrictions on their actions or movements in relation to you, your family and your home.

Who can you get an Injuction again and what does it prevent?

Injunctions can cover anyone you have had a significant relationship with. This could be someone you have had a child with, someone you have lived with or someone you have had a long relationship with. There are two forms of protection avaliable to you, a non-molestation order and an occupation order.

A non-molestation order is there to prevent your partner or ex-partner from using threatening violence against you or your children and to stop them from intimidating, harassing or pestering you and your family. This order is to ensure the health and the safety of yourself and your children.

An occupation order can control who is allowed in your family home and can prevent an abusive partner or ex-partner from being allowed to be in the surrounding area. This order is designed to protect you if you do not feel safe in your own home. It can also be used to remove the abuser from your family home, especially in circumstances where you have left for your safety but want to return.

If the individual breaks the rules of the order they can be arrested to ensure continued protection of you and your family.
