TEAM PROFILE:
SIAN BRADLEY

SIAN BRADLEY

Sian has over 9 years’ experience in Mental Health Law and is passionate about providing a voice to vulnerable people who can too often go unheard.

Over her legal career Sian has gained a great deal of experience assisting those detained in hospital under both the civil and forensic provisions of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended) as well as those subject to a Community Treatment Order. She regularly represents clients before the First Tier Tribunal and at Hospital Managers Hearings and CPA meetings.

Sian has a particular interest in advising and representing adolescents who have been detained in hospital understanding that this can be a particularly daunting time for young people.  She also has experience in representing those who do not have the capacity to instruct following appointment by the First Tier Tribunal.

Sian has been a member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Accreditation Scheme since 2011. She was also selected as a Rising Star in Mental Health law by Super Lawyers in both 2014 and 2015.

Sian has also gained experience in relation to the Court of Protection, Community Care, Family and Immigration law and is able to utilise this to take a holistic view of her client’s cases.

In her free time, Sian enjoys reading, listening to music and, most importantly spending time with family and friends.
