Amanda completed her GDL at the University of Law where she found and cemented her passion for pursing human rights law. This was further fueled by her active pursuance of human rights law by conducting her legal research project critiquing the effectiveness of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Furthermore, she volunteers with Amnesty International (Reading) acting as South-Asia Coordinator; fundraising for human rights activism as well as being a youth offenders panel member with Brighter Futures for Children.
Amanda’s former professional background was in secondary school teaching for a few years following her BA in Religion, Philosophy and Professional Education from the University of Stirling.
