AMY NUTTALL

Amy’s passion for Law and Mental Health began during her A-Level Studies, where she undertook both a Law and Psychology A-Level. This interest did not falter, and Amy has recently graduated from Cardiff University in 2021 with a Law Degree.

During her studies, Amy had a particular focus and passion for helping those in vulnerable situations. To begin, Amy was elected to be a Well-Being Officer for Lawyers without Borders.

Then, having gained experience in this role, Amy progressed to found her own Miscarriages of Justice Awareness Society. During this time, Amy also volunteered on the Innocence Project and manage her own case file.

This society allowed Amy to utilise her position as President to run over twenty national and international events. Guest speakers included the Director of the Californian Innocence Project and the head of the Manchester Innocence Project.

This work inspired her writing in the Global Problems and Legal Theory Module, where she was commended for receiving a 95 on her essay.

Now, having graduated, Amy is looking forward to developing into a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and dedicated Mental Health Paralegal.
