BETHANY WALDRON

Bethany graduated from university in 2016 having completed her Bachelor of Laws LLB at Plymouth University. Subsequently, Bethany completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP University in 2017.

 

Bethany started her legal career working in a firm which specialised in Family Law. Bethany gained experience as a paralegal-advocate, attending hearings at both County and Magistrates Courts before District and Circuit Judges in proceedings involving victims of domestic abuse and disputes over the contact and residency of children. Bethany gained experience representing both the Applicant and Respondent in proceedings and became passionate about helping vulnerable clients.

Bethany’s passion for helping vulnerable client’s led her to become a Court of Protection Paralegal at Bison Solicitors. Having a personal interest in Human Right’s law, having studied Human Right’s Law at university, Bethany is keen to continue her education and knowledge of the Court of Protection. Bethany is passionate about making a difference and would describe the area of mental capacity law to be a broad area of law whereby case law is continuously clarifying shaping the understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

 

Bethany is able to advise on whether an application should be brought to the Court of Protection and conduct proceedings with supervision. Bethany has a keen eye for detail and always challenges herself.

Bethany grew up on the South East coast in Bognor Regis. Bethany regularly travels to spend time with her family where she enjoys trips to the peaceful Elmer Beach and walks through the South Downs National Park. Bethany has a passion for cats, dogs and horses, having grown up with them all her life. Bethany has been vegetarian for a number of years and is passionate on education and knowledge about the meat industry and its implications on the environment and physical health. Bethany also enjoys relaxing with friends and has a passion for singing, but only in the car!
