VICTORIA BOWEN

Victoria completed her BA(Hons) in English at Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to study the Graduate Diploma in Law at the same university where she obtained a Commendation.  Victoria then continued her studies to complete her Legal Practice Course with MSc in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2017 whilst also writing a dissertation focusing on Domestic Violence Protection Orders and the use of them in England and Wales.  Whilst studying her LPC, she gained valuable experience in Family Law, Wills and Probate and Civil Litigation as well as gaining work experience in top law firms throughout Manchester.

Throughout her studies, Victoria volunteered at the Civil Justice Centre in Manchester by using her legal knowledge to help litigants in person through the justice system.  She assisted individuals in court with family, money and housing matters.  Victoria enjoys helping vulnerable people within the community as well as seeking justice for those less fortunate.  She also has previous experience in Aviation Law as well as a previous role in Civil Litigation.

Victoria now works as a Mental Health Paralegal, advising clients on their rights and preparing them for any upcoming Hospital Managers Meetings or First Tier Tribunals.  In the near future she aspires to become a Law Society Accredited Panel Member as well as progressing her career in Mental Health and Family Law.

Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as music, theatre and walks in the countryside.  She has travelled extensively throughout Asia, Australia, America and Europe and always enjoys discovering new places.  Whilst travelling, Victoria obtained her Scuba Diving Instructor Qualification and enjoys showing others the “underwater world”.
